It felt like one minute I was all alone and then the next you were here,
Before then darkness was setting upon me and my own company was my shadow that lagged behind,
You smiled that contagious smile causing the sun to rise around me
Forcing me to open my eyes and welcome you, an unrequested but fulfilling invasion to my surprise
I took one deep breath, had no idea what was going on
Wanting to take the next few steps for fear kept me walking backwards all along
What you have brought into my life is hard to describe,
Feels like I am on an airplane..soaring high
Oh how the thought of flying and heights scare me!
But, it is the adventure to that place…..that amazing place that galvanizes me
What place I speak of you may ask?
I must say I don’t know, but where ever it is I am willing to make it part of my future and not live in the past
It seems like this has been a long adventure so I count the days over and over again to prove it right to me
Time has taken a different meaning… no longer being dictated by days or hours or minutes or seconds
